what is Adopt-A-Spot?

If everyone does a little bit, it makes a huge difference!

Adopt-A-Spot is a (FREE!!) litter prevention and beautification program that is self-directed
but organized by Keep Vermilion County Beautiful (KVCB) and
City of Danville’s Partners Restoring & Improving Danville's Environment (PRIDE) Grows Project!

wHAT SPOT SHOULD I CHOOSE?
A “Spot” can be any public property that means something to you - in or out of your neighborhood, around school, roadsides, sidewalks, parks, people usually select a place they pass by everyday but
it can be anywhere that you are interested in keeping litter-free!
What are the program requirements?
Maintenance of your “Spot” is a pledge from you or your group to pick up litter 3 (or more) times per year.
(It doesn't matter if it's 5 minutes or an hour - you ARE making a difference!)

An email will be sent to you monthly asking for data:
i.e. number of bags collected, number of volunteers and time spent.
What if I want to help but do not have a spot in mind?
Go ahead and complete the form below and we can help you pick a spot.
Check our event calendar, attend a board meeting, or keep an eye on our Facebook events.
What happens after I sign up?
After your information is received through the form below, you will be contacted to confirm your spot.
You can start picking at your spot at any time that is convenient for you - p
lease plan to dispose of the trash you collect and make sure everyone follows safety precautions. Let us know if you would like to borrow equipment.
